Today we visited the fox glacier and not a mint in sight - after going on an all day glacier walk across Franz Josef Glacier the day before. It was brilliant and realy warm too. The place was full of really big parrots called Kea whose favourite meal is the rubber from around your windscreen!

We visited lake Matheson and took some photos of mount cook. The scenery is outstanding. The pictures don't do it justice unfortunately! Jane spent most of the walk pondering how many glasses of jack Daniels and coke she could fill with all that ice.
