Wales here we come. Trelew Patagonia to be precise.

Friday, 6 May 2005

Well we have finally arrived in Patagonia. After a hectic week in Buenos Aires our bank balance is happy to have escaped the myriad of leather and shoe shops. The 2 girls who were our travelling buddies for the past 3 weeks have now gone their separate ways...Barbara back to Switzerland after 8 months on the road and Laura has gone with her mum to explore Argentina. Hopefully we will meet up with Laura when we reach Santiago at the end of May.

We went Trelew. We have arrived off peak which means that we got a lovely hotel for a cheap price... beats the hostel we stayed at the first night in Buenos Aires hands down. It made Rigsby's place in rising damp look like the Ritz.

Courtney Love (Jane) relaxes on her birthday - Note the pills and champagne!!

Trelew is a sleepy little town near the Peninsula Valdes where the wild life is fantastic. One slight problem though, we have managed to arrive just after the best of the wild life has migrated back to Antarctica. Still we should get to see some elephant seals and plenty of sea lions.

We have hired a car and will be driving no more than 200km a day because we get charged by the car company if we do. We had tea and cake in a Welsh town called Gaiman. Yacky Dah!!! It was lovely and we went to the place where Princess Di had tea in 1991

They don't make them like this anymore

Welsh flags out en-masse in Gaiman

I'm a big tea drinker - but?

A bit of a mix of languages here
